SOPHISTICATED EUROPEAN KITCHENS TO ARRIVE ON CENTRAL CALIFORNIA COAST

SieMatic by Richard Jess To Host Grand Opening of Stunning New Showroom November 8

San Luis Obispo, CA, October 17, 2007 – SieMatic, the international leader of luxury precision kitchens, is opening a showroom in San Luis Obispo to serve the Central Coast from Santa Barbara to Monterey, bringing together a company known for style and sophistication with a region of California now represented by similar demographics in a growing and vibrant community.

The public is invited to a grand opening party November 8, 5:30pm – 8:30pm. at 75 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo. Surrounded by SieMatic’s German precision-crafted kitchens, guests will sample an assortment of Central Coast wines and German beer as two cultures are paired over hors d’oeurves among the finest kitchens in the world. Area architects, builders and interior designers are especially encouraged to attend and view this new alternative in the Central Coast design community.

The spacious 1200 square foot showroom in the historic and award-winning Pacific Coast Center will offer visitors an inspiring design experience from the moment they step through the doors into the floor-to-ceiling windowed showroom. The rustic vaulted ceilings provide artistic contrast to the rift-cut white oak flooring designed to showcase and highlight SieMatic’s sleek styling, crisp, contemporary lines and modern finishes.

This high-profile location at the corner of Madonna Road and South Higuera will underscore the strong market presence of SieMatic, a German-based manufacturer of custom kitchens available in the world’s finest cities and defined by the phrase, “We’re not a kitchen; we’re a system.”

Three dazzling kitchens are displayed in the San Luis Obispo showroom. Greeting visitors through the front door is the SE 3003H. Its minimalist, graphical forms bring the best out of the high quality hand-scraped truffle brown pine finish.

Display 2 in the interactive showroom features the two-tone elegance of the SC61 from SieMatic’s Modern Classics collection in Sterling Grey Matt Lacquer Finish topped with Dark Oak Laminate edged in high quality Stainless Steel with an all stainless steel hood and backsplash. The working kitchen display also includes the “Pure Design” SC 6006AL with 15cm curved bottoms and tops and a Bianco Carrera Granite top with solid Teak table and drop teak support.

Drivers stopped at the busy Madonna Road and South Higuera intersection may glimpse a peek through the front window at the SL909, topped with an 8cm thick hand laid mosaic Esplanade countertop with bits of white gold and Venetian glass, and the SL 505, a striking design of clear surfaces and lines, without superficial decorative elements and ornamental frills.

SieMatic’s ability to provide plenty of storage is demonstrated by tall cabinets, an array of options for appliance locations, and cabinets with extension-hinge doors that open with a tap. The colors create an open feel making the kitchens appear larger. All displays feature working Gaggenau Appliances from Ferguson’s Supply, enabling the showroom to be used for local group meetings and VIP receptions.

Demographic research done by SieMatic pointed to San Luis Obispo as the preferred location for the showroom, according to SieMatic’s Director of Market Development Malcolm Scott. “It is a vibrant, younger town with a lot of energy, a central location, and growing numbers of large homes and projects,” he said.

Richard Jess, who also owns Richard Jess Fine Cabinetry & Design, was invited by SieMatic to become the regional SieMatic expert and distributor. “During our research phase, we kept hearing of Richard Jess. He has a stellar reputation in this community and was the logical person for us to approach to represent SieMatic,” Scott said.

“William Randolph Hearst was probably the first to bring European design to the Central Coast,” said Jess. “Today, architects, interior designers and homeowners from Monterey to Santa Barbara can bring that same European elegance, sophistication and style to the homes they are creating.”

“We call them the smart kitchens,” Jess added, “because of the precision, ingenuity, quality, and attention to detail that SieMatic engineers into each custom kitchen. There are various price and design categories for the smallest to largest kitchens, but all are designed for sophisticated homeowners who consider their kitchen an investment in quality of life.”

As a leader in the luxury kitchen segment, SieMatic’s staunch commitment to manufacturing excellence and innovative engineering is unyielding. The company philosophy of offering not just a product, but also a lifestyle, sets SieMatic apart from its competitors. SieMatic is available in over 52 countries on five continents.
